Dave's is still the mainstay Fairfield burger spot. Love that they have a modern point of sale now and even txt message receipts available. I was just passing by and the aroma drew me back in. So glad to have them for lunch today.

I've lived in this area for 23 of the past 30 years. Dave's was a known institution well before I got here. Oddly enough, though, I'd probably only visited it three times before last week. I don't remember it tickling my fancy. After having a burger earlier in the week somewhere else, I decided to give Dave's another go. It was absolutely delicious. Got a Double Bacon Cheese with lettuce, tomato, and raw onion. They offer grilled onions as well, but I prefer a crunchy raw. Burger was cooked to perfection, and all the ingredients combined perfectly. I also got a malt milkshake and could believe how good that was as well. Good enough to visit just for a shake. Either way, I'm happy that I went back, and my only disappointment is not going more often over the years. Can't wait to return again!

Best burgers I've had in California. I look forward to visiting family in Fairfield because I know it will mean a stop at Dave's. Perfectly cooked juicy burgers, crisp fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes and grilled onions, plus a side of tater tots and a peach shake; nothing better.

My favorite hamburger place when I was kid and I was ecstatic to see it was still open after all these years and nothing changed much and the food was still as good as when I was that kid.

So I had the civic duty of jury duty last week and was craving a burger along the lines of my hometown go to (Bud's) this piqued my interest in review and the fact that they had milkshakes sealed the deal. I pulled in to the parking lot settled up against armijo highs fence. I walk in and the dude behind the counter greeted and took my order! Cheeseburger.... "Raw or grilled onions?" Uhhhh both? Done Strawberry milkshake! Boom done. Wait was about 10 minutes which was solid af at 12:20 on a weekday afternoon. Nitty gritty. Burger -3.75/5 the Mayo was a touch sweet for me but I absolutely crushed it! Shake - 4/5 the only thing that would have made this a 5 is solid strawberries in the shake. Overall, I absolutely will go again and love that a place like this is still around!

Very small location that gets lots of customers during the lunch hour. You get to see your meal cooked right in front of you as you mesmerize over their large variety of shakes menu and smell the grilled onions getting a glaze before going on your burger of choice. You can get a regular burger, cheese burger or chilli cheeseburger. Some burgers are served open facet depending on what gets put on them. The grilled cheese is made on a round style of bread and their tots are cooked to a nice little crunch. Everything was just a perfect amount of portions and a good consistency on their shakes. Good spot to take the family or team for a good ole bite to eat. Be sure to come hungry!

Dave's has been my go-to spot for a delicious giant cheeseburger since 1989, my freshman year at the local high school next door. Friendly, professional service every time and juicy tasty burgers cooked to order and assembled the exact way I like them, (cheeseburger, raw onion, medium cook, everything else standard). I also appreciate the occasional encouragement to try a flavor of milkshake besides vanilla. I've literally been there hundreds of times over the past three decades now, and it's still the gold standard for tasty perfectly-balanced burgers and a friendly atmosphere whenever I'm in town. When in Fairfield, try Dave's for yourself!

If I could give more stars I would in a heartbeat. A friend brought me after we picked up their car. They grew up in the area. Asked me if I wanted to try the best hamburgers in NorCal. Might big talk...well- Dave's Giant Hamburger backed it up with great service and burgers. Very simple menu and even simpler way to place an order. The decor reminds me of the old burger joints of the past. The burgers were actually burgers and not the thin-meat kind you get at In & Out, etc. The cheese tater-tots were incredibly fresh and cheesy. The Chocolate shake was creamy and delicious. If you are a dog owner, they will cook a patty for your dog and chop it up for them. Incredible service! Don't take my word for it...one bite into their burgers and you will be convinced!

Who's craving a juicy burger and a milkshake? If you're from Vallejo and familiar with Bud's, I recommend trying out Dave's in Fairfield! It has that same local burger joint vibe. The only difference? Dave's doesn't offer fries! *insert sad emoji* but you know what, that's okay. They do have tater tots though. Ok let's talk burger. I've gone twice and both times have not disappointed me. The burger can be messy but that's because of how saucy and juicy it is! Both time, Dario O. and I ordered a cheese burger with bacon, add grilled onions. The patty was seasoned just right. Not too salty, very flavorful. You even have a choice of how you want the meat cooked. Adding the bacon will be the best decision you ever make here when dining here, trust. Another thing you should do is order an extra patty! We haven't tried their tots yet, so I have nothing to say about that lol As for their shakes, I did try their pumpkin spice (this is probably a season one). The shake was thick but not overly thick where you have to wait a few mins to drink it. Whoever made the shake, knew what they were doing because it really tasted like pumpkin spice! So if you're a PS person + a milkshake person, please get this before this season is over! Location: They have a pretty good space for parking. There's a few seats inside and a nice outdoor area with a sink to wash your hands after, cos you're gonna need to lol Service: Good service. They have a good system to make sure all orders are taken and made in a timely matter. Lastly, they close early so keep an eye out on their hours. I suggest calling before going there because the accuracy of their store hours online might not be true. Overall, Dave's is one of my new fave Fairfield, CA eats! I'll be back here soon!
